2025 #2: May 25

It’s Spring! Been enjoying the wacky weather of Chicago, wearing shorts as often as I can, planting some new plants for my porch, and riding my bike. Lots to share soon, but some to share now.

Music stuff

Live:

• I’m playing an Options (Computer Music) set on 6/13 at Dumb Records in Springfield, IL. Admission is $9 and it starts at 7pm — looking forward to seeing my friend Max play live as Waxwell Weckman! We did a record together a few years back and it’s still great.

• Patter is playing an absolutely Stacked bill at the Empty Bottle on August 7, with Clifford, Bursting, and Krill 2. Tickets here

Releases:

• Options Big Band did a video session in January, and it is out tomorrow… but you can view it here today at this unlisted link. We did two new songs and one old one. Big Band features Joe Suihkonen (Moontype) on guitar/vocals, Andy PK (Red PK) on guitar/vocals, Wilson Brehmer (Patter) on bass, Michael Seidenfeld (Toddo) on percussion, and Cameron Wisch (Soft Surface) on drums. They absolutely killed it and I love playing this music with them.

Recording:

• I’ve got some big news in the Recording domain that’s almost ready to share - if you’re interested in booking with me this summer, I can tell you. Otherwise, stay tuned for an update in a couple weeks or so.
